I suppose it's easier to refer to Alan Prendergast's recent article, but he takes a few liberties with Marton's written statment...stating that Harris was identified.

At any rate, Marton's statement begins on page 992, interestingly enough with what appears to be a missing first page. The number sequence is correct, however most of the other interviews have a date, interviewing officer and some sort of introduction that identifies the witness and their details. I'd be interested in hearing what others think.

From there it goes on to say that shooting had already begun inside the building...Marton refers to a library window breaking when they arrived. He describes a shooter exiting out the west doors, not retreating in as Alan Prendergast points out, but Marton's description does not match Harris in any way other than the height given. This shooter exits briefly, appears to have problems with his gun, re enters and then starts to shoot again through the west doors.

Although Marton does report that Gardner exchanged shots with this gunman at this time...he also states that gunfire was also encountered from the library and that he briefly saw a shooter through the library windows.

It appears his account is consistent with the number of shots Gardner fired, however I'm wondering if he's mistaken about when Gardner fired. If Gardner only fired at a shooter located by the west doors and just outside, it's difficult to imagine how the bullets ended up in the library. I'm also wondering about the liklihood of a shooter with a jammed gun remaining outside even momentarily if under active gunfire.

In all fairness, I can see why the police felt they could just slot Marton's interview into their timeframe, even if I don't agree. It can be stretched in a few directions...like I say, I'd be interested to hear what others think.

Maybe Gardner was shooting at the third shooter? The third shooter realized it was real....he freaked and changed clothes and got the heck out of Columbine!

Andrew Marton's statement basically proves there was another shooter and is the most damning single piece of evidence I have come across. put it together with the other interviews and a picture of another person who is NOT harris emerges.

Harris of course DOES drop his coat and IS wearing a white t-shirt. This is why I believe that L.E. assumes that witnesses were seeing Harris at different times, but it is clear these witnesses ARE NOT.

What to add besides... WOW! Physical evidence that proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that Gardner lied.

Of course, we already knew he was lying, his story kept changing. Even the Columbine Commission pointed it out in the footnotes.

Since JeffCo glosses over this discrepancy in the official report, the official report is proved a deliberate lie, and thus a coverup.

We still don't know what they are hiding, exactly - either bad cop decisions resulting in death or injury to students, or 3rd shooter(s), or both.

Anon does makes a convincing case for a 3rd shooter, doesn't he?

As for the the photos, if you blow them up, and fiddle with enhancements, you can make out that the glass is broken. On at least some of them, I don't remember which or if it was all of them. But, I am very doubtful about the times on any of those photos.

As for Daniel R, well, seems to me to they should have seen him.

FactQuest...anon's posts are compelling, even taking into account that the case is made stronger with the other interviews, witnesses from the library included. If the description of the library windows is correct, then Gardner arrived after the shooting in the library had begun....exactly when would be up in the air.

I agree about the ramifications re who shot Dan Rohrbaugh, in particular when the fatal shot was fired, but I'm going to stick to an earlier decision not to post more at this time.

The final location of Smoker's bullets would be nice to have too, but the main question has to be which part of the story needs to be completely disgarded.

One possibility anon does not cover...Gardner arrived after the shooting in the library was over. That poses problems too, but completely disgarding the possibility of a third person certainly wasn't called for.

Quick question...a couple of months back, I dropped in a post re a person inside the school dressed similarly to the splatter punks in your direction FQ. Shorter jacket with a circular emblem on the back...it's pathetic, but I can't find it in my notes...do you remember?

Once again, I apologize if all of this seems off topic from Gardner's bullets winding up in the library, but I believe it may be related.
