Quote:
Officially, H&K didn't enter the main office area on the east side of the school until 11:53am, where they stayed just three minutes, and thereupon returned to the cafeteria.
"Law Enforcement officers on the east side of the school reported noises and shots coming from the school's northeast side at 11:53."(FR)
And that's about all the Final Report wants to say about the events on the east side of the school. It does not tell us who or what the shooters were firing at. Understandable, because(once again) the eye- and ear- witnesses tell of events that cannot be reconciled with the official story.
--Tony Martinez(7533) on the east side sees muzzle flashes from the main office and felt the shots whiz overhead.
--Elizabeth McWilliams(1519) hears gunshots from the main door at 11:45, and more shots from the admin office area.
--Alayna Muscolino(1586): "She stated that she could tell that gunfire was coming out of the front of the school"(while she was in Leawood Park).
--Carol Sampson(5184), teacher, heard 15-20 gunshots from east area of the school while she was in Leawood Park, at 11:45am.
--Lindsey Blevins(5521) heard rounds impacting at Clement Park.
--Shane Michael Krey(5905): His friend Amy Fisher saw gunshots impacting something in the park.
--Jonathan Ladd(5912): "Knew about bullet holes in sign at Leawood Park."
--Michael Bierman's(6135) friend Katie IDs a third shooter(Redacted) in Admin Office "shooting out the windows."
--Eric Long(6801) heard shots ricochet at Leawood Park.
--John Ungerland(1697), while standing at Pierce and Fair Street, heard shots coming from school, and observed rounds impacting a sign at that location.
--Lacey Koch(3469) saw Mr. Ivory Moore, teacher, in Leawood Park moving around as if to dodge fire. Mr. Moore himself(6923) doesn't mention it. [Interesting question: Is Mr. Moore an African-American, and was he specifically targeted because of his race?]
Now all of this could have been fit into LE's version story, but many witnesses also reported these shots directed into Leawood Park as coming from a gunmen OUTSIDE of the school:
--Brenton Hooker(1465) sees a trench coater exit the lower east doors, from the math hallway. He is tall, wearing backward ball cap with curly hair and a half-mask on.
--Darren Metzler(1542): "Darren said then someone exited Columbine High School on the east side of the school and shot an unknown number of shots toward Leawood Park."
--Scott Schultz(1646): "He looked up futher back toward the school and saw a single person wearing black clothing standing outside main entrance of school building holding up handgun and pointing it at female." He is described as 5'10" tall, wearing black pants and a black top.
--Stephan Poole(4102): While in Clement Park, heard "There he is!"
--(FNU) Behunin(1791): "Several people started running and yelling that the shooters were by the front doors and were shooting at them in the park."
--Nicole Ann Wiegand(6017) reports panic running in Leawood Park at 11:40-11:45.
--Luke Hannifan(3230, 5889, and 9883), while in Leawood Park, sees gunman outside the east doors with pistol firing several shots into the park. Gunman described as 5'11" tall, 160lbs, light hair.
--Lauren Waterbury(6004): "The gunman came outside(east doors) and starting his shots and went back into the school."(sic)
--Lindsay Williams(6025) thought there was a shooter outside the east 'emergency exit' door shooting at the kids exiting.
--Dannon Cowgill(7474) sees a TCMer by the front door of the school at 11:35 while driving down Pierce. Others were running past him. He was standing by the fence which seperates CHS from Clement Park.
But even this episode-the appearance of a gunman outside the east doors of the school which caused a panicked rush by students and faculty into the neighborhoods-could have been explained away by saying it was caused by H or K exiting the school briefly; just like they attributed an earlier panicked reaction in the cafeteria to an alleged brief entry by Klebold.
No, the real problem with the east shooter lie in two areas:
1) It TOTALLY CONTRADICTS the official timeline, because where witnesses gave a time, it was universally in the 11:40-11:45 time frame. And the Official Story has it happening at 11:52, at the earliest.
2) It raises anew questions about the police response. Because none of the eyewitnesses mentions anything about any police reaction to the event. Nor have I come across any LE interview that refers to any officer that saw/responded to this suspect on the east side. In other words, there was apparently NO VISIBLE POLICE PRESENCE ON THE EAST SIDE OF COLUMBINE ALMOST A FULL HALF HOUR AFTER THE SHOOTING STARTED.
Or am I overstating my case?
Other references that may be relevant:
--Paige Allison(1743) sees two wounded in front office(in the first interview, at least)
--Lauren Bonin's(2503) refers to bullet holes found in a car parked in the faculty lot(which I assume is somewhere east/north of the front entrance).
--Syd Keating(5710) saw the gunmen enter the school via the east front entrance and start firing weapons.
--Susan White(5825) says the suspects entered the office area around 11:40-11:45am.
--Littleton FD Radio Traffic(7863) mentions a DOA in the North East part of the school at 2:45pm.
--Daniel Goin(9807) may have had his shoe shot off of him in front of the school but he wouldn't consent to an interview with the IOs.
--MSNBC(9837) at 3:18pm: "Male in CUSTODY is escorted from the FRONT portion of the school by SWAT team members."(emphasis mine)
