He was arrested at a friend's house the day after the bodies were discovered.

...(he) admitted to killing his family to save them from the embarrassment he would cause them after he carried out a Columbine-style mass-shooting at Waller High School where he used to attend. (Sesler was from the class of '07)

...police described finding writing on the walls(at the murder scene) that read: "I love my mom, dad and brother," "why did I do this," and "God forgive me, because I cannot forgive myself."

Police recovered ammunition and at least six weapons, including handguns and long rifles, at various locations. They said Sesler had been planning an attack for two to four years. They also claimed Sesler had been working up to the attack by shooting at pets, livestock, and empty buildings.

(Waller Police Chief Phil)Rehak said Trey Sesler admitted to firing a single shot through the window at Waller High School on two separate occasions about 18 months ago. ...Rehak said Trey Sesler admitted under questioning that he had studied serial killers, even grading their crimes in online forums, and he had a fixation with the Columbine school massacre from Colorado.

Sesler appeared to have an obsession with the Colorado tragedy...

(His) computer showed that Trey Sesler had studied volumes of articles and accounts of the Columbine school shooting and the Virginia Tech killings.

Though, once again, the specific target was not mentioned in a study of his writings on his computer.

The profile of the 'Columbine-client' says these types do not act alone, and there is evidence others were involved:

Trey Eric Sesler told investigators he and at least one other former Waller High School student were planning such a shooting at the high school, said a law enforcement source.... . Investigators are questioning that friend and another concerning the plot, the source said.

And as usual this evidence of accomplices was quickly surpressed:

http://www.huffingtonpost...n_1378006.html?ref=crime
There was no immediate evidence Sesler had any accomplices, (Waller County Sheriff Glenn)Smith and (Waller Police Chief Phil)Rehak said.

http://southeasttexastoda...of-murdering-his-family/
Though investigators initially said Sesler hinted that another former Waller student was going to help him with his plan, on Thursday they said there was “no factual evidence” that Sesler had any accomplices.

Those who knew him described him as 'nice, quiet, but a little weird.' 0thers said he was a loner, though in high school he had a clique of friends. Sesler had no prior criminal history. He had attended a nearby junior college and held part-time jobs. Authorities said he told them he delivered pizzas.

Sesler had his own youtube channel--LensCapProductions--in which he reviewed Japanese 'anime' cartoons. In these videos, he does not come across as angry or hostile, but rather calm and well-mannered. He also made a number of violence-themed videos.

In a video filmed on the lawn outside his family's ranch-style house, a gangly, teenage Trey Sesler plays the hero, protecting a cowering boy from a gang of bullies...
--Many of Trey's friends acknowledged he had a fascination with violence, but only in movies and video games - not real life.
They described him as a highly intelligent, slightly eccentric and generally kindhearted guy who seemed at times to "live in his movies*," in a world of his own creation - a kind of "movieland."
--"The only thing I can think of," (high school friend Tyler Adams)said, "is that his movies, over the years, involved more and more violence."
[*Compare to the Aurora massacre suspect, who thought he was 'in a movie,' according to his jail mates.]

Here is one that reminds me of 'Hitman for Hire":

And here he is firing his 9mm HI-Point from Sept, 2011:

He posted a video a month before the murders, entitled 'Mr. Anime is planning something.'

http://dmnewsi.com/2012/0...n-slayings-of-relatives/
Just days before the murders, Sesler posted a one-minute video indicating that he was excited about a new job. “The good news is that I now have found a full-time job in a department that I am interested in, which is film ,” he said in the March 13 footage to his viewers. See video here:

"I've been recognized by some people, and I'm going to be doing some good stuff "

Another commanality we see in these cases:

http://www.sinisterexiste...m-maker-trey-sesler.html
Family members said he was under some kind of medical treatment, but said nothing could explain the killings.

http://www.khou.com/news/...re-family-143830256.html
Family members said the young suspect was suffering from some type of mental illness. But investigators said they have no idea what exactly might be wrong.

http://www.khou.com/home/...r-suspect-144036406.html
"(Trey) almost acted as he didn’t know us," (Sesler’s great aunt Weda)Frierson said. "He has been under some kind of treatment for some time for, I really don’t know what the problem was."

Another ominous development:

http://www.khou.com/news/...re-family-143830256.html
The FBI was called in Wednesday(one day later) to assist with the investigation.....

He pled guilty on Aug 2, and was sentenced to life without parole

As usual in these cases, there was no motive adduced as to why he wanted to commit a mass shooting at his high school. Nor was there an attempt to interview his doctors on exactly what medical condition he suffered from or what medication he was receiving. And we don't know the nature of that 'job' he claimed he had found. And how did he get the money to own a 2010 Ford Mustang car, when he couldn't even afford to move out of his grandmother's house?
