9-6-11 Carson City, NV IHOP Eduardo Sencion, 32 5 dead, 7 wounded
Just prior to 9 a.m., a man walked into the IHOP restaurant in Carson CIty, Nevada and began firing with an AK-47 variant, leaving numerous casualties. He walked back outside to the parking lot, firing into other buildings and at another person in the lot before he put a bullet into his head, ending the spree, which lasted just a few minutes. Killed were:
Florence Donovan-Gunderson, 67
Sgt. 1st Class Miranda McElhiney, 31
Sgt. 1st Class Christian Riege, 38
Major Heath Kelly, 35
The military members were Nevada National Guard troops from a nearby base. Four of the wounded were also soldiers, raising the question of whether he was targeting the military. Needless to say, police were unable to point to a motive for the violent attack.
The shooter was identified as Eduardo Sencion, 32, who worked for the family market business in nearby South Lake Tahoe. Sencion was not in the military, and had no known affiliations with anyone inside the restaurant. The suspect was wearing a red shirt and long black pants.
An empty 30-round gun magazine and two other gun magazines were recovered. It appears about 30 rounds total were fired. The Norinco Arms MAK 90 AK-47 rifle used in the attack had been illegally modified to fire in the full auto mode. Authorities say they found a Colt revolver pistol and another rifle in the minivan Sencion left in the parking lot. They said the van and the AK-47 rifle used in the shootings were registered to Sencion’s brother. The other long weapon was another AK-47 variant, the CN Romarm CUGIR CAI GP WASR 10. Many of the guns sold in the BATF's notorious "Fast and Furious" gun-selling scam were also Romaniuan made CUGIRs, so there is a possibility that is where the other rifle came from. Perhaps not coincidentally, it has not been revealed where he got this weapon.

While more than 30 gun-related items were found at the house, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said the list was not alarming.
“Yes, there was a lot, but there were quite a few weapons within the family,” Furlong said. “Shooting was a hobby of theirs.”

*Five Passports? Why would they seize the legitimate passports of his relatives? I doubt they would. So what kind of passports were these? US, Mexican? In whose name? If these were forged or stolen passports it might indicate greater criminal activity on the part of Sencion or his relatives.
